Texas epitomized reality exceeding expectation. What we thought would be a "quick" 600 mile drive across the Lone Star State ended up being two of the most emotionally enthralling days of my life.

It's official.

We're going on a road trip.

Almost a year ago, Shelbie and I were hanging out, bouncing around crazy and far-fetched fantasies (one of our favorite pastimes), and the idea of a U.S. road trip came up. "Let's do it." Shelbie said, which she says to all ideas, crazy or not. They aren't all brought to light, but every once in a while, I'll say, "No really. Let's actually do it."
